What is the Fiji Law Society?
The Fiji Law Society is a distinguished membership-based organization operating under the legal framework of the Legal Practitioners Act. We proudly maintain affiliations with esteemed entities, including the International Bar Association (IBA), and hold leadership roles within the Presidents of Law Associations in Asia (POLA), Lawasia, and the South Pacific Lawyers Association (SPLA). Our commitment is unwavering in advocating for critical policy and legal issues, both of national and international significance. Our primary objective remains the steadfast promotion and preservation of the rule of law.
What we do
- WE strive to protect the Rule of Law
- WE represent, protect and assist our Members.
- WE maintain and improve the standards of conduct of lawyers.
- WE assist the Government in all matters affecting legislation and law reform
- WE promote the welfare and to preserve and maintain the integrity and status of our Members.
- WE have Continuing Legal Education programs throughout the year to educate and assist our members with their Application for a Practicing Certificate.
