Mele joined the Council in 2021 and later in 2024 where she heads the CLE Committee.
Mele was also part of the Fiji Women Lawyers Association Council until 2024.
She is admitted to the High Court of Fiji and has over 18 years of legal practice experience.
She is a Partner of Sherani & Co and practices general law with a focus on employment, family, commercial and property law.
Mele is a current board member of the Legal Aid Commission. Mele is a trustee of the Fiji Women’s Crisis Centre and the Fiji Girl Guides Association. She has also provided advice on internal disciplinary processes for national societies in the country.
Mele is passionate about women’s rights, children rights and employment law compliance in Fiji.
Mele also volunteers with the World Bank Group Doing business research and has assisted several charity groups in Fiji, the Hibiscus Events Group, Gender Climate Change Alliance Fiji (GCAF), the Gospel Churches Missions Committee and others. In addition to these, Mele also contributes to her local community and her Vanua.
